hi everyone, it’s gabby. i’m publishing this picture as an attempt to spread awareness of yet another serious issue our world is facing. i’m sure most, if not all of you, have heard about what happened with george floyd. his death was completely preventable and i’m here to tell you that black lives matter. to everyone who’s stating that “all lives matter,” yes of course all lives matter but do those of us who are white ever really realize how privileged we are??

white people get so many more opportunities and privileges than people of other races do. everyone is affected by white privilege and it needs to end. there are riots and violence, yes. but there are also many peaceful protests and the police forces are doing everything in their power to stop them. george floyd didn’t have to die, but he died at the hands of police. don’t comment on this post saying all lives matter because that is BESIDES the point.

if someone’s house is on fire, do you make the fire department go and check on everyone’s house because everyone’s house matters? no. if your friend trips and her knee begins bleeding, do you go and get a bandaid for all your friends because all their knees matter? no. this is exactly what i’m talking about. please support this with #blacklivesmatter

All lives matter takes away from the BLM. Ofc all lives matter but white people are not getting killed because of their skin color like black people.🖤. All lives matter when BLM! I hope you understand where I’m coming from. 🖤👏. Thank you.
