3 years ago@Ferie Golden We have a park called the kelpies in falkirk its beautiful for walking, Sadly a wee dog fell in the icy water and got pulled under by the ice, I was taking a walk with my friend when i saw it happening, I tried to help bring thendog to safety and fell in the Icy water myself getting pulled under. We finally managed to get the pup out of the water and me too but the pup passed away that night, she was too small and her body struggled in the icy cold water, I was so upset as i hit

3 years agothe icy water i hit my knee which is badly bruised, but its healing well and i had a few days of a bad cold which i didnt put down to the initial incident as it was a few days later but the doctor thinks that was a delayed reaction. Im ok now just very sad about the pup 🐶 my friend who was with me was quite upset about it all too, so we decided we would find out the owners name and send flowers so she should get those tomorrow, i hope it adds a little light into a dark week X

3 years ago@ Sergio Thankyou Sergio, It was quite a traumatic scene, The poor dogs owner was blasted online and in the local rag because she didnt have her on a lead, Im positive she didnt realise what would happen, and no one will ever make her feel worse than she does herself. I was lucky my friend was there, she and a passerby managed to pull me out of the water before it got worse or it could have been a different story. I feel terrible we couldnt save the poor dog, she did rally when we got her out

3 years agobut sadly we discovered she passed away that night. There was nothing we could have done more, and i know as a nurse, because of her size and age she probably would have succumbed regardless. I couldn't bear seeing her struggling, so my instinct kicked in and im glad to have at least attempted to help, I didnt mean to talk about it all on here because it was upsetting, my injury will heal, but the pain of the poor owner losing her beloved dog wont heal so easily. 💔❤
