my friend is questioning her sexuality and it reminded me of how confused i felt when i was. remember that it’s ok to take time to figure it out because it isn’t something everyone knows immediately. you don’t have to be sure. questioning pride 🏳️🌈❓🖤

5 years agoit’s different for everyone. i guess it just begins with a crush on someone who isn’t the opposite gender. and usually the confusion comes from ‘is this really a crush?’ or ‘do i also like people of the opposite gender,’ etc. eventually i accepted that what i was feeling was real. i couldn’t tell you how i got there, though @Silent_Stereo

5 years agoWonderful picture and message!!! I almost always knew that I was gay. I was more interested in looking at the other boys in my class (or some of my male teachers) than the girls. But I made myself go through the motions of having girlfriends because that’s what boys are supposed to do. I was terrified to tell ANYone. I was about 40 before I finally stopped fighting it and started accepting it. Thanks for posting this... and good luck to your friend. Hugs!

5 years agoaw good for you. i don’t really know how to help you; i think it’s something that’s different for everyone. my advice is just to not feel you have to rush it. you can take your time. in the end, it doesn’t really matter if you have a label or if you know exactly how your heart works, as long as you’re happy. @LadyPicasso1030
